Aw, poor Karl. Collectively, now..."Awww..." And to think, for over 8 months now, I've been oblivious to what he is going through! How insensitive of me! It truly is a shame that we can't switch roles, just for a day...or even a few hours, so I could relieve him of his misery. I mean, backaches, nausea, headaches...what are these compared to the true misery of installing car seats and putting together a recently purchased glider at Marma's house? (and here I was thinking that men enjoyed putting things together). Karl even insisted on paying the extra $50 -plus tip to have the cribs and changing tables delivered and installed; apparently this was way too much for the proud Dad-to-be to handle.
Somehow, at 35 weeks, I am still managing to work, make dinner, clean, and assist with the care of the pets. I have a feeling Dad-to-be would be couch-bound at this point, whining much more than I ever have.
One thing is sure: the load will certainly be divided much more equally once the twins are here. Moms I have spoken with tell me that they do end up with an unequal share. One estimated it as an 80/20 split. I'm hoping for more along the lines of 60/40. I think I can deal with that.

Karl, FWIW, I paid to have everything I could assembled and when they wouldn't take my money, I had my dad and your dad do it. I think you sb proud of the fact that you know it is easier than doing it yourself - I call it sr mgt skills.
And I know what you are going through KW, these pregnant women can't appreciate how the mood swings, the cravings and the constant need to have their feet or back rubbed cause us time away from impt events like Euro 2008....stay strong brother, you will make it through.
hahahaha.
Kelly, great to hear you endured so much already and still have a sense of humor. The last days are
the hardest, but I am happy you are not complaining. I saw your recent photos taken at Wekiva - you look fabulous! That husband of yours is amazing in caring and sharing all the pains with you (like closing the bathroom door..) so keep him, you will not regret it!
