Corkscrewing Around

A lousy rain-soaked and humid first half of the day saw WT on yet another Disney trip, this time back at Magic Kingdom. The weather and our early arrival allowed us to skip sunscreen and the long waits in line. NL experienced the Haunted Mansion, Peter Pan, Cinderella, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Noelle and I even grabbed a tame spin on a merry-go-round. Lucas napped through a good portion of the morning, saving his attentions and vocal chords for the ride home.

Both children have now learned a most frustrating skill: corkscrewing during diaper changes. Instead of their normal placid recline on the changing table, first Lucas and now Noelle immediately rotate to either side, reach for the edge of the platform with their opposite fist, and if left unmolested, turn a full 180 and elevate onto their knees. No matter the contents of their diaper, they give a hoot neither for being cleaned nor for a stern "No!" Noelle even grins and laughs in response, just waiting to be flipped back so that she can corkscrew again. Her other spunky habit is a relentless insertion into her mouth of her right fist immediately following a spoonful of mush. Perhaps it's her way of complementing the chef: the food is just so darn good, she can't wait to get it down the hatch in preparation for the next delivery.

My full apologies for these somewhat belated photos:
