A Whole Lotta Shakin'
The highlight of pregnancy (so far) has been feeling the subtle movements of A&B. Silly as it may seem, these little kicks, jabs, and wiggles have become the most anticipated parts of my day. It’s just a reminder that, wow, there are really 2 human beings in there, separate from me and from each other who now have the ability to perform most of the functions of a newborn baby (such as making faces, swallowing, sucking thumbs, and yes even urinating). I love feeling more connected to them and am now more eager than ever to meet them (but not too eager- still keeping in mind the GOMOTT moms and doc’s warnings about the dangers of pre-term labor). The most movement can be felt while sitting very still or lying down and I try to guess which one is moving, based on where the docs told us how they are positioned. I wonder what they are doing in there, what body part I am feeling, and also how much interaction they have with each other. I've read that they are now sleeping as much as newborns- about 14-16 hours per day- but only about 40 minutes at a time. To all those who've advised us to load up on sleep now- you're probably right.

Yes Kelly, I agree that it is a wonderful feeling when the baby - or babies in this case - are moving inside you. Men can only envy us.. This stage helps you form that special bond and prepare you for their arrival. Not that Karl will be unprepared, I hope!
Mama
Too cool. :)
How cute! Nice to hear the mama's perspective.
I was meaning to ask if you'd started feeling them yet. That's so exciting! Sorry I've been so preoccupied with my own pregnancy woes that I've neglected to ask you about this stuff. I'm really curious how your bump is coming along!!
I'm hoping you'll start putting up some belly pics soon! C'mon, don't be shy!!
